You can find hundreds of the most famous, beautiful and challenging paintings in the world at the National Gallery.

More than 2,000 Western European works are on display, which belong to the nation and date from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. Discover inspiring art by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Titian, Holbein, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Turner, Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso.

The Gallery also offers a world-class temporary exhibitions programme and a wide variety of events and activities to help you explore the paintings. These include an award-winning touch-screen guide to the collection, guided tours, talks, audio guides, live music, film screenings, family activities, courses, lectures and workshops.
