Over four years in inner London there has been a growth in collaborative working between publicly funded arts, commercial arts, public bodies and business.

North: Create KX

• Includes: Sole traders, small creative businesses, cultural organisations e.g. the Place, King's Place, British Library and Wellcome Collection
• Focus: Regeneration - a network to influence Kings Cross development and growth as a cultural quarter
• Projects: Arrivals, November 07 creative journeys to celebrate opening of St Pancras International. Reveal November 09, discoveries and hidden treasures in King's Cross
• Financed by LDA, Arts Council, local authorities, private business and partner organisations

East: East London Cultural Quarter

• Includes: Barbican Art Gallery, Whitechapel, Museum of London, Stratford Theatre Royal East, Museum of London, Hackney Empire.
• Focus: Regeneration and the Olympics
• Projects: Marketing visual arts in the east - First Thursday. All galleries open until 9.00pm on the first Thursday of each month
• Financed by Arts Council and Tower Hamlets

South: South Bank and Bankside

• Includes: Tate Modern, South Bank Centre, National Theatre, The Architecture Foundation, Borough Market, London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark
• Focus: Architecture and the built environment, the Olympics and education
• Projects: Putting Young People at the Heart of the Arts - 2 million pounds from Invest to Save to give every child in Southwark and Lambeth at least 1 meaningful cultural experience
• Financed by Treasury and partner organisations

West: Exhibition Road Cultural Group

• Includes: V&A, Westminster City Council, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Royal Parks, Royal Albert Hall
• Focus: Education and redevelopment
• Projects: Redevelopment of Exhibition Road and tunnel and education
• Financed by members, Treasury and grants
